Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to pdfmyemail.org, api.pdfmyemail.org, PDF My Email account and licensing services, support interactions, and the PDF My Email browser extension. It does not govern Gmail, Google Chrome, Google Drive, payment providers, advertising providers, or other third-party services, which operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
Gmail content and local PDF processing
The extension accesses only the Gmail conversations and related resources needed for a user-requested export. Selected message text, sender and recipient details, subjects, inline images, and attachments may be held temporarily in browser memory while the extension prepares PDF or ZIP output.
PDF generation and packaging take place in the compatible Chromium browser. Gmail message content, attachment contents, and generated PDF or ZIP files are not sent to the PDF My Email application backend for conversion. Finished files are downloaded to the location controlled by your browser and device. Your browser sync, backup software, downloads folder, and other device services may handle those files under their own settings.
Account and sign-in information
When you sign in with Google, we may receive and process the profile information you authorize, such as your account identifier, name, email address, profile image, authentication tokens, and sign-in timestamps. We use this information to authenticate you, connect your free usage or paid entitlement to the correct account, provide account features, prevent abuse, and support sign-out and session management.
Signing in does not give the PDF My Email backend access to your Gmail mailbox. The extension's Google sign-in scopes are used for identity information, while Gmail page access required for exporting is handled by the installed extension in your browser.
Settings, usage, and extension diagnostics
The extension may store settings in Chrome storage, including paper size, orientation, margins, scale, page-number preference, quoted-reply preference, attachment mode, output mode, filename template, language, authentication state, and entitlement information.
Our backend may process account ID, plan, entitlement status, successful-conversion counts, batch limits, extension version, timestamps, and coded error or security events needed to operate quotas, licensing, reliability, and fraud prevention. We do not need Gmail body text, subjects, recipients, attachments, or generated files for those purposes. Product telemetry is used only when enabled and configured; it must not include Gmail content.
Website, server, and device information
When you visit the website or use connected account services, we and our infrastructure providers may process IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, requested URL, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP, cookie or local-storage identifiers, response status, and security or diagnostic logs. We use this information to deliver the service, keep it secure, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and understand aggregate performance.
Payments and subscriptions
When you start or complete a purchase, we and our payment provider may process your account identifier, email address, selected plan, currency, amount, tax information, transaction reference, payment and subscription status, renewal dates, and related billing events. Complete payment-card details are handled by the payment provider and are not intended to be stored by PDF My Email.
Support communications
If you contact support, we process your email address, message, attachments you choose to send, and information needed to respond. Do not send passwords, complete payment-card details, or sensitive Gmail content. If reviewing specific content is genuinely necessary to solve a support request, we will ask you to decide what limited material to provide.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use disclosure
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide or improve the user-facing features described for PDF My Email, for security, or as otherwise permitted by that policy.
We do not use or transfer Gmail content or Google user data for personalized advertising, retargeting, creditworthiness, lending, or sale to data brokers. We do not permit people to read Gmail content except with the user's affirmative agreement for a specific support purpose, when necessary for security, to comply with law, or when the data has been aggregated and anonymized for permitted internal operations.

Advertising, Google services, and cookies
The website may use Google products such as Google AdSense. Google and its partners may collect, share, and use data to provide, personalize, and measure advertising, prevent fraud, and operate their services. This data may include IP addresses, cookie identifiers, device or browser identifiers, approximate location, page visits, and interactions.
Google and other third-party vendors may place or read cookies in your browser or use web beacons, IP addresses, and similar identifiers because ads are served on pdfmyemail.org. Where required, we will request consent before using non-essential advertising or analytics technologies. You can manage cookies through your browser, available consent controls, and provider settings.
How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
How information is shared
We may share the minimum information needed with providers that support hosting, authentication, payment processing, customer support, security, analytics, advertising, and infrastructure. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, to investigate fraud or abuse, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell Gmail content processed locally by the extension. Service providers may process account, billing, support, website, or operational information only for the services they provide to us and under their own legal obligations.
Retention and security
Locally processed Gmail content remains in browser memory only as needed for the active export and is not retained by our conversion backend. Settings remain in Chrome storage until changed, cleared, or the extension is removed, subject to Chrome's behavior. We retain account, transaction, usage, support, and security records only as long as reasonably needed for service operation, legal obligations, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and enforcement.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections for sensitive data transmitted to our services. No system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your Google account, browser profile, device, and downloaded PDF or ZIP files.
Your choices and rights
You can change extension settings, clear extension storage, uninstall the extension, manage browser cookies, cancel future subscription renewals, or stop using the service. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent.
Send privacy requests to [email protected]. We may verify your identity before acting and may retain information when required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute purposes.
Children, international processing, and changes
PDF My Email is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to applicable safeguards and law.
